Activision will reveal the eSports tools and features in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 during a live broadcast from Gamescom in Cologne, Germany on Wednesday, August 5. Fans can tune in to the livestream on the Call of Duty website August 5 at 7:00pm CEST, which is 10:00am Pacific Standard Time or 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time. “In 2012, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 became the catalyst for competitive Call of Duty as we know it today with features like league play, robust casting tools, integrated live streaming, and more. Now, with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on November 6 fast approaching, it’s time to take a look at the next evolution in Call of Duty eSports,” Scott Lowe, Activision’s communications manager said in a blog post announcing the show.

In addition to Treyarch developers on hand during the broadcast to discuss news and components coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, several well-known competitive players will also be participating in a series of matches to showcase the new eSports features in the game. This will be the first look fans and players have at the future of Call of Duty eSports.
